Wandsworth’s new Labour-led council is about to fail their first test. The council was quick to use Tooting Common to trumpet its win at the polls.
But after promising to stand up for residents, it is now dithering over cancelling a public inquiry that would put part of the common in private hands behind a 15-foot high fence.
Tell the council to support thousands of South London residents and cancel the inquiry.
